Cat Enclosures
Several of my friends and family travel with their cats as much as possible and we all use a variety of cat
enclosures and comfort items in our homes, yards, and on the road. I use a cat carrier similar to
the Sherpa Bag Pet Carrier for car trips. There are hard cases in small sizes available for
longer distance or commercial travel too but I like a soft case cat carrier for general
use.
That fancy K&H Thermo-Kitty Heated Cat Bed is a real treat for Aunt Mary's older cat. Bitsy
just loves it! She sleeps a lot more now and the cover on the heated cat bed is washable. It also
comes with choices of cover prints, colors, and sizes.
My daughter has cat trees like the Armarket Cat Tree and her two cats, Tinkerbell and George have so much fun with it!
Plus it's great for their scratching, climbing, sleeping, and exercising. Endlessly entertaining and
the little rooms in their cat trees are private cat enclosures for catnaps!
One of my friends is in need of a cat scratching post for her brood of 3 cats. A couple of us are
going in together to get her two SmartCat Ultimate Scratching Post cat scratchers for two different rooms in her
apartment. She wants to train her cats to use a cat scratching post instead of her upholstered
furniture and we support that effort.
Now that cat condo shown below is very similar to the cat trees I mentioned earlier but the posts are hand wrapped in textured sisal
rope. The maker is GoPetClub and it costs about half as much as the Armarket Cat Tree so if you're looking for cat trees for less - it's a real
bargain!
I've always wanted an outdoor cat house so my friends are comfortable bringing their cats over when
they come to visit. The Kittywalk Town & Country cat enclosures look so well made I'm seriously considering
several of their interconnectable components for the garden. If there are any squabbles we can separate the
trouble-makers and everyone can still enjoy being outdoors.
See our recommendations for cat litter trays too.
